Cumberland Valley 7, Hempfield 1

Hempfield hosted Cumberland Valley in their last game before the Christmas break.  Kevin Gockley gave Hempfield a 1-0 lead on the first shot of the game at 14:11.  The Hempfield defense and goaltender Kollin Brakefield teamed up to hold the Eagles to 10 shots and no goals through the end of the first period.  In the 2nd period, CV's Mitch Lacey tied the game at the 12:11 mark.  Ryan Wolfgang made it 2-1 Eagles at 6:29 and Lacey gave his team a 2-goal lead 2 minutes later.  Leading 3-1 to start the 3rd, the Eagles would fire 21 more shots at Brakefield for a total of 54 in the game and would add 4 more goals to win the game 7-1.
